Woo Hoo! It's that time again for our Second Annual Nest Box Building Party! This year's event will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 10am to 2pm at Ruby Creek Wildlife Preserve in Port Orchard, WA. Last years event was a lot of fun as members of the community came together to build Bluebird Nest Boxes for our local Bluebird Trails. All materials and tools will be provided--all you need to do is show up and be ready to make some nest boxes! This is a great event for everyone in the family and lunch and beverages will be provided to all participants. Afterwards, a guided tour of Ruby Creek Wildlife Preserve will be given by board member Bob Wiltermood. Looking for other ways to help out local Bluebirds? We also have a new program called Adopt a Nest Box program. For a donation of $50.00, you can help pay for materials to build one Bluebird nest box for our trails. We will place a plaque on the box with your name on it and you will receive regular updates during the season on bird activity in your nest box.
